Whistler - Telus Winter Classic Event

This Friday and Saturday (26th & 27th January) welcomes the fifteenth annual Whistler Blackcomb Foundation's TELUS Winter Classic Event. This is an exciting event which has been running since 1992 to raise funds for charities in the Sea to Sky communities. These two days are packed with entertainment, silent and live auctions, plenty of wine and food and of course skiing and snowboarding.

The cost of the tickers to cover the Friday and Saturday events for a four person team is $1,700. These tickets include an array of things including skiing with a pro, entry into the Triple Crown Race Classic Event, your lift tickets with specialprivileges , a great breakfast, wine tasting and a gift and photo to remember your time here. Friday night also sees in an awards ceremony where lots of prizes will be given.

If you can just make it for the Saturday events, the cost of the tickets for a four person team is $1,200. This includes your lift tickets with special liftprivileges, breakfast, wine tasting, a gift and photo and entry into the Triple Crown Race Classic event.

If you would just like to come along for the evenings events, every ones welcome. Friday night is the Whistler Winetastic event. This event is held at the Westin Resort and Spa in Whistler and starts at 7.30pm and finishes at 10.30pm. This evening costs $55 and for that you get to sample from about 150 wines and cheeses from around the world, taste the cold and hot appetizers, enjoy the live jazz and get involved in the raffle for the Instant Wine Cellar -good luck.

If you want to enjoy the festivities on Saturday evening a great event called 'Cirque des Montagnes' starts at 6.30pm and costs $150. This event offers a mountain top dinner experience, dancing, live entertainment, live music, gambling, auctions and prizes galore.

Whatever event you decide to take part in you are sure to have a great time and the proceeds go towards a good cause.
