Whistler Current Road Conditions- Sea to Sky 99

The aptly named Sea to Sky Highway, is highway 99 that runs from Vancouver up to Whistler. Before travelling up to Whistler it is always advisable to check the current road conditions, especially in the Winter months as snow can be extremely heavy here.

If you are travelling up to Whistler in a vehicle in winter be sure to have all-wheel drive options and be prepared.

You can also take the option of the shuttle buses that you can get from the airport or from Downtown Vancouver. This can be a great idea in winter avoiding the hassle of the drive, as although it is only about a 2 hour drive it can feel alot longer when trying to drive through the snow. Once in Whistler the village is all pedestrianised and most of the hotels offer a shuttle bus service to the ski lifts.
